It’s been long enough, whatever happens I just want it done quickly now Planners should strike a balance between speed and heritage but be pragmatic As much as possible of the original ‘look’ should be reconstructed but I’m happy with compromises on not re-using historic materials The Angel Inn Hotel is an iconic feature of our town and everything possible should be done to conserve it, even if it takes a while As you think about the inevitable demolition, scaffold removal and clearance of the site, which would be your preference: A ‘short, sharp’ approach, even if that required North Street being closed for up to, say, 7 days A slower, more cautious approach with at worst, North Street being reduced to a alternate single lane operation with traffic lights and diversions No preference Please do share any other comments you wish to with me as your Member of Parliament
